GYALSHING, March 25: Indian Idol 3 Prashant Tamang today belted out rocking number from his forthcoming album during a musical event held here at the Community Hall on the sidelines of HIV/AIDS & drug abuse & alcoholism awareness programme. Tamang, also the lead actor of upcoming feature film ‘Angalo Mayo Ko’ thanked the audience for supporting him during his Indian Idol days. To back him were also the entire cast and crew of the new Nepali film.
Adding to the zeal, reputed comedian Mahindra Bagdas left the audience in splits with his gans and has masala while local band from Namchi regaled the crowd with scintillating numbers. DC (West) Santa Pradhan, who was present as the chief guest felicitated Indian Idol 3 along with the entire cast of ‘Angalo yo Maya Ko’ and wished them luck for their upcoming film.
Project Director of Sikkim Rehabilitation & Detoxification Society Sudip Dixit was also present on the occasion. Talking on HIV/AIDS and drug and alcohol, Mr. Dixit also discussed about the scenario of Sikkim. “Today there is more than 150 cases AIDS patients registered in Sikkim AIDS Control Society,” he added.
