Muhurat of Nepali flick ‘Angalo yo Mayako’ Indian Idol Prashant Tamang to debut as the lead

RANGPO, February 25: Sinic Commercial Private Limited’s first Nepali film ‘Angalo yo Mayako’ went on floors today with a mahurat that was held in Mazitar. The clap was given by State Commerce and IPR Minister Neeru Sewa. The Rs 35 lakh film to be completely shot in Sikkim and Darjeeling is targeted for completion within 45 days, said producer Kishore Dungmali Rai.


Suresh Lama, a local youth has scripted the story to be directed by Vinod Sereng and Kishore Rai Dungmali. While Yuv Raj Rai would be behind the lens, Issac Chettri is the music director. Indian Idol Prashant Tamang is palying the lead in this film. Other artists in the film include Mahendra Gurung, Swastika Thami, Bijoyta Baraily, Chunilal Ghimery, Sajal Pradhan and Benjamin Cintury. The film’s website www.angaloyomayako.com was also launched today. While appreciating Sinic Commercial Private Limited for taking the initiative, the Minister assured full support from her side and also from the department side.
Also present on the occasion was reputed Nepali film director Pratap Subba.
