Indian Idol 3 Prashant Tamang in new Nepali flick

GANGTOK, February 17: Indian Idol 3 Prashant Tamang will soon be seen in a new role in Nepali flick Angalo Yo Maya Ko, to be produced by Kishor Rai Dungmali and directed by Vinod Sereng.
The feature film to be shot extensively in Sikkim will also have local artists like Mahendra Gurung, Chunnilal Ghimeray, Sajal Pradhan, debutant child artist Prasansa Chettri (Priya) and debutant lead female artist from Kurseong Bijayata Baraily, Darjeeling’s Swagatika Thami, Prem Subba from Nepal, Pannu Gajmer from Darjeeling and Mahendra Bagdas from Kalimpong.
“This film will obviously promote Sikkim’s tourist destination worldwide and the concept of this film will certainly make a positive impact to our younger Nepali generations of the world,” said the producer of the film. He further said that 80 percent of shooting will be done in Sikkim and 20 percent in Darjeeling District & Nepal.
The film is slated for completion within 50 days. The film will have Yuvraj Rai as cinematographer, Govin Rai as choreographer and Issac Chettri as music director.
The release of the music, the Muhart and the official website launch of www.angaloyomayako.com is scheduled on February 25 at Majhitar. It will be attended by State Commerce Minister Neeru Sewa, State Housing and Buildings Minister Tilu Gurung among others.
The production house, Sinai Commercial (P) Ltd, Majhitar, East Sikkim had tied up with Nepal1 Television as a official television partner, Radio Misty 95 FM Sikkim as official radio partner, Hongkong based Nepalese news portal HKNepal.com as official worldwide media partner and SIKKIM EXPRESS as official media partner (Sikkim), Himalayan Darpan as official media partner (North Bengal & North East Region) and United Kingdom based Nepali Sandesh Saptahik as official media partner (Europe) to promote the film.
