Indian Idol 3 Prashant Tamang ties knot with Dimapur girl

from  easternmirrornagaland

One may call it the week of Indian Idols in Dimapur. On February 14, it was Indian Idol Sreeram Chandra and finalist Bhoomi Trivedi along with the Dewey’s band who enthralled the Dimapurians for a special valentine treat at DDSC Stadium.

This time it is Indian Idol 3 Prashant Tamang who is making news for other reasons and not for a musical concert.
Rumors were in the air when Prashant Tamang landed in Dimapur on February 13 for his wedding reception and it was held today at Niathu Resort, 6th mile Dimapur. A host of relatives, friends and well wishers of the couple attended the grand reception which started at 2 pm.
The 27 year old Prashant Tamang who even celebrated his valentines day here at Niathu Resort as reported became a brother-in-law of the Nagas since June 16 2010, when he tied the knot with Martha Aley (Geeta) at Guwahati. Hearing from reliable sources, the reception which was slated at the end of last year was delayed since Prashant Tamang had commitments for a lengthy European Tour.
Since winning the Indian Idol, Prashant Tamang has also released an album of his own and two films namely Anga Loma and Gurkha Paltan which were super hits in Nepal.
The 25 year old Martha Aley, familiarly known as Geeta was born and brought up in Kohima, where she did her schooling from Little Flower School and completed her HSSLC from Livingstone Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, and graduated from SD Jain. She later went on to work as a flight attendant in a reputed Airline.
The couple is slated to leave Nagaland on February 18. They will reportedly settle down in Darjeeling.

Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
