Get ready for the cracking Diwali episode in Amber Dhara, as this week, Amber(Kashmira Irani) and Dhara (Sulagna Panigrahi) will celebrate their Diwali with none other than the Indian Idol- Prashant Tamang. Jab Prashant Met Amber and Dhara, the girls were floored to know more about their Idol, Prashant Tamang.
The Telly Buzz team talked to Prashant Tamang on the sets of Amber Dhara..
How do you fit in the story?
I am here as Akshat’s friend, as Amber Dhara are my fans, so I am here to celebrate Diwali with them, and to explain to them that they are not alone in the struggle, and even if things seem wrong this time, eventually their struggle will be fruitful, and they will recieve what they want. I sing a song for them which is from my first album. I also release my first album in the serial.
Do you relate to their struggle?
Yes, like them, even I am a small towner, and we have dreams to do something big. I too struggled to achieve my dream. But they are lucky as they are two, and I am just one. (laughs)
Tell us more about the album.
Its called – Dhanywaad, its my first album under the Sony contract. We have composed three songs for it, its got 2 Nepali songs and a few remixes. I have sung the title track for them. The song is truly meant to inspire them that no matter how hard a road might seem, there is a silver line around each cloud.
How was it doing your first album? Do you have plans to sing in movies?
I had a good experience doing the album. I can't sing in any movies right now, as I am under the SONY contract, but let’s see after that.
How has life been after Indian Idol?
Life has been very over whelming. My family and my friends are very happy. And I too have had the best of times in the show, though I haven’t gone back home yet. I have extended my leave from the police force for while. I just want to give music my undivided attention now.
There was sort of a controversy that you won because of regional voting, what would you say about that?
I truly don’t believe in that. My town is really small, and how can just a small town win over the votes from the entire nation? So its nothing like that. It was a tough competition and the issues of regional votes do not arise at all. We had Bengali singers too, and there are millions of Bengalis all over
So, coming back to Amber Dhara, how has the shooting been?
The shooting has been fun. I was actually shy as I had to act out a few lines. And I was nervous to act, I kept forgetting my lines. It was really funny.
It looks as though Prashant Tamang had a rocking time with Amber and Dhara. Watch this space for more on the Dhamakedaar Diwali Bash on the Amber Dhara sets..
